The Higher Education Forum for Audit, Risks and Forensics (FARF) is associated with the Finance Executives’ Forum (FEF) of Universities South Africa (USAf) and serves as a Community of Practice within the Finance Executive’ Forum. This forum was established in 2014.
The Forum provides an opportunity for directors/heads or representatives of internal audit, risk management and forensics functions working in Higher Education (HE) to collaborate, network and share knowledge on issues of common concern.
The objectives of the Forum are to promote internal audit, risk management and forensic audit practices in South African Higher Education through:
- Sharing of information and knowledge resources;
- Promoting best practices;
- Collaboration on national initiatives; and
- Supporting internal audit, risk management and forensic audit professionals/officials within South African HE through building colleagual relationships and developing capacity.
The FARF mini-conference / networking session is an annual event. This year's event was postponed from 28-29 May due to the Covid-lockdown implications, and is currently planned to be presented virtually.
