International strategic partnerships and collaborations

Internationalisation is key at the NWU

The North-West University (NWU) does not function in a bubble and does not operate in isolation. Our stage is a global one and we are spreading our wings further than ever before.

The NWU is aggressively pursuing internationalisation as it is one of our strategic priorities. We do this, because we believe that through internationalisation and securing international partnerships, we can best serve our province, our country and our continent. Knowledge knows no boundaries, expertise can't be confined, and our capabilities can only grow through the infusion and exchange of information on a global scale.

For the NWU, a dedicated internationalisation drive is crucial as it harnesses global expertise, fosters collaboration, and enhances research. This exchange of knowledge empowers the NWU to address the nation’s unique socio-economic challenges. It also allows us to access diverse perspectives, attract global talent and to strengthen our competitive edge. It also allows our staff and students to be exposed to, and interact with world leaders in a variety of fields.

Global relevance is our goal, and the NWU is committed to reaching new audiences, to unearth new opportunities, to unlock hidden potential and make it flourish.

We look forward to what the future holds and to achieving these exiting goals with the university’s stakeholders.
