Membership & Application Forms
Every graduate of the NWU or its predecessors has the right to belong to the Convocation. This is only possible through formal application and payment of the membership fee. Membership of the Convocation is also open to present permanent staff members of the University, but if the member resigned or retired and was not a member of alumni of the NWU – the membership will be terminated.
To become a lifelong member of the Convocation, you apply by completing a membership form and pay a once-off minimal fee of R50 as indicated on the application form.
When completing the membership application form, please note the following important points:
In terms of the NWU Statute, the amount of R50 is payable to become a member of the NWU Convocation. This is for lifelong membership if you are an alumnus of the NWU
The banking details of the NWU Convocation are as follows:
Account name: PUK No. 2; Number: 670640086; Bank: ABSA Noordbrug; Branch Code: 335-138. Please use the following on your payment as reference: KON initials and surname (e.g. KON R Nel).
Please fax the deposit slip/proof of payment and this application form to (018) 299-4910 for attention Izette or mail it to Office of the Convocation, NWU Institutional Office, Private Bag X 1290, Potchefstroom, 2520.
Your application cannot be processed without the duly completed form and proof of payment.
