Membership & Application Forms
Every graduate and diplomate of the NWU or its predecessors has the right to belong to the Convocation. This is only possible through a formal application and does NOT happen automatically. Membership of the Convocation is also open to present permanent staff members of the University.
To become a lifelong member of the Convocation, you need to complete a membership application form and pay a once-off nominal fee of R50, as indicated on the application form.
When completing the membership application form, please note the following important points:
- In terms of the NWU Statute, the amount of R50 is payable to become a member of the NWU Convocation. This is for lifelong membership if you are an alumnus of the NWU
The banking details of the NWU Convocation are as follows:
Account name: PUK No. 2;
Bank: ABSA Noordbrug;
Branch Code: 335-138.
Please use the following as reference with your payment: KON + initials + surname (e.g. KON R Nel).
- Please e-mail the deposit slip/proof of payment and this application form to Izette.Schouwstra@nwu.ac.za or mail it to: Office of the Convocation, NWU Institutional Office, Private Bag X1290, Potchefstroom, 2520.
- Your application cannot be processed without the duly completed form and proof of payment.
