Minimum Requirements
SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMME ON FUNDAMENTAL MANAGEMENT
Admission requirements:
(2) Two years’ experience or participants who are earmarked by an organisation as managers. They should have the potential for advancement and require basic skills and knowledge to enhance their managerial effectiveness.
Learning assumed to be in place:
National Senior Certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification. Supervisors and first-line managers with two years working experience or earmarked by the organisation as managers. Basic working skills and knowledge are required to enhance their managerial effectiveness are required.
SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMME ON MIDDLE MANAGEMENT
Admission requirements:
(3) Three years’ practical management experience. Participants must currently occupy a middle management position or be ready to be promoted to middle management. Participants must have through their work experience acquired a fair level of knowledge and skills in the field of general management and human relations.
Learning assumed to be in place:
Supervisors and managers in junior management with three (3) years’ practical management experience or earmarked by the organisation as middle managers. They should have the potential for advancement and a fair level of knowledge and skills in the field of general management and human relations. National Senior Certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
ADVANCED SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMME ON MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
Admission requirements:
Participants entering this Short learning programme on Advanced Management must have completed the National Senior Certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification and the NWU Middle Management course or equivalent. Participants will also currently occupy at least a middle management position or be ready to be promoted to middle management. Participants will have at least (3) three years of practical management experience. Participants must also be able to join an allocated syndicate group that would be able to function in a modern electronic environment.
Learning assumed to be in place:
Participants entering this Short learning programme on Advanced Management will have through their work experience as middle managers acquired a fair level of knowledge and skills in the field of general management, human relations and the use of technology within the context of an organisational strategic setting.
SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMME ON PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Admission requirements:
Any person who needs to deal with project management on a frequent basis.
Learning assumed to be in place:
National Senior Certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.

Admission requirements:
Completion of Project Management on NQF 5 or equivalent.
