More about the National Science Week

National Science Week is an annual event aiming to exhibit and communicate science to the targeted audience. It is an initiative of the Department of Science & Innovation (DSI), a countrywide celebration of science involving various stakeholders and role players conducting science-based activities during the week.

The NWU will be hosting the event from the 2nd-7th August 2021. The theme for the event is “making it possible through science”.

The activities include, webinars, pre-recorded exhibitions, documentaries and live virtual exhibitions. The focus week activities will be preceded by a media launch led by the Minister of Science and Innovation to mark the beginning of the event.
