Description

The NWU Mahikeng Astronomical Observatory (MAO) is one of the two optical observatories own and operated by the FNAS. The MAO 50cm optical telescope is a fully steerable telescope with UBVIR photometric capabilities. What science can be done with it? How can staff members and students of NWU gain access to and use the telescope? What are the planned future upgrades? These and many other questions will be address in the colloquium.
