Description

Every year, this day is marked to raise public awareness of global efforts to battle desertification. The goal of the day is to serve as a reminder to everyone that land degradation neutrality may be achieved via creative problem-solving, active community involvement, and cross-level cooperation. The day urges everyone on the planet to prioritize the health of the land, respect it as a finite and valuable natural resource, and work tirelessly to restore it throughout the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. According to the UN, everyone has a stake in the future and therefore has a role to play.
