The Africa Unit for Transdisciplinary Health Research (AUTHeR) is proud to announce a webinar about Learning R from Scratch, presented by Prof Cristian Ricci, an experienced biomedical statistician. Prof Cristian shares his expertise on the R Software and its graphical interface R-studio. This webinar will be beneficial to supervisors, postgraduates, lecturers and researchers.
Abstract
The R software and its graphical interface R-studio are among the most used statistical analysis software and flexible tool for virtually any application of data science. Eminent scientists in the field developed the R-software, which is currently the most up-to-date tool for advanced statistical analysis, bioinformatics, and applications of artificial intelligence. The R-software is free of charge and can be installed on all your private and institutional computers. Learn how to use the R-software starting from scratch during the four-half-day webinar series and become an independent scientist.
The webinar will be on the following days:
- Day 1 (25 October 2022):
Morning session: Installation of the system and introduction to the R environment.
- Day 2 (8 November 2022):
Morning session: Data management using R.
- Day 3 (14 November 2022):
Morning session: Output your research, perform the descriptive.
- Day 4 (22 November 2022):
Morning session: Statistical analysis, from univariate tests to the Generalized linear model.
Please note: All webinars will begin at 09:00 and end at 13:30.
