Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Training

North-West University is proud to be the host of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Training, presented by Statistical Consultation Services support staff members, post-doctorate, and postgraduate students with the planning and design of their studies and the statistical analyses of their research projects. The objective of this workshop is to provide delegates with an understanding of basic concepts of data analysis and statistical inference in survey research projects. The aim is to equip participants with the skills necessary to understand, analyse and interpret the statistical output obtained from the computer software SPSS to answer specific research questions. Topics include:

• Descriptive statistics and data exploration
• Categorical data analysis
• Comparing two means
• Comparing several means
• Correlation and regression analysis
• Factor analysis and reliability analysis
