You are cordially invited to the Service Learning Virtual Workshop about Curriculum Considerations for Formalising and Aligning Service Learning Activities.

Purpose:

A key focus area integral to North-West University's strategy for 2024 and beyond is the alignment of community engagement with teaching and learning, fostering a culture of active citizenship among students. Central to this objective is the formalisation of service learning within the curriculum across various disciplines offered by NWU. This webinar aims to explore the curriculum considerations necessary to effectively integrate and align service learning activities, thereby enhancing the educational experience and reinforcing the university's commitment to societal impact.

Outcomes:

By the end of this session, participants will have integrated knowledge on:

  • aligning Programme/Module Objectives with Service Learning Activities;
  • using Reflection as an Assessment Tool; and
  • best practices and considerations in Curricular Service Learning.
