The Faculty of Health Sciences cordially invites you to the Public Lecture by Prof Beth Engelbrecht about NHI vs a Capable State vs My Health.
Summary of presentation
Health is a human rights matter, and according to the World Bank one of the most complex activities governments take on. The NHI Bill aims to craft a system that will take the country towards Universal Health Coverage. Having health nested in the broader state engine, it calls for a reflection on how to relate to all these realities.
