The NWU Center for Human Metabolomics and Biochemistry is delighted to be hosting Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Day. Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Day stems from World Mitochondrial Disease Week, which seeks to globally increase awareness of mitochondrial disease (mito) through educational, fundraising, and advocacy initiatives. Students and staff of the NWU are invited to join.
World Mitochondrial Disease Week is an initiative led by International Mito Patients (IMP), bringing together mito patient organizations worldwide to spearhead a global movement for mitochondrial disease awareness and support.
