We cordially invite your participation in the Ethics Training Session hosted by the Faculty of Humanities. These training sessions on research ethics are held three times a year by the Faculty of Humanities.

During the research ethics training sessions, the following subjects are covered:

  • The relationship between excellent research and research ethics is espoused.
  • A brief overview of the history of research ethics is presented.
  • Detailed discussions about the processes and practices for research ethics in the Faculty of Humanities are presented.

  2. Professor Susan Coetzee-Van Rooy (ECLM Deputy-Chair)

By the session's conclusion, prospective applicants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the processes and protocols of NWU's various ethics committees, including the Ethic Committee for Language Matters (ECLM), Basic and Social Sciences Research Ethics Committee (BaSSREC), Human and Social Sciences Research Ethics Committee (HSSREC), and Economic & Management Science, Education, Law, Theology, Engineering, Natural Sciences (NWU-EMELTENREC). Proficiency in research ethics is imperative within the Faculty of Humanities, and attending these training sessions is essential. We eagerly anticipate your participation!
