The Faculty of Humanities warmly invite you to an Ethics Training Session. The Faculty of Humanities offers research ethics training sessions three times annually. At the research ethics training sessions, the following topics are addressed:
- the relationship between excellent research and research ethics is espoused.
- a brief overview of the history of research ethics is presented, and
- detailed discussions about the processes and practices for research ethics in the Faculty of Humanities are presented

At the end of the session, future applicants will understand the processes and practices of the NWU’s Ethics Committee for Language Matters (ECLM), the NWU’s Basic and Social
Sciences Research Ethics Committee (BaSSREC), the NWU’s Human and Social Sciences Research Ethics Committee (HSSREC) and the NWU Economic & Management Science, Education, Law, Theology, Engineering, Natural Sciences (NWU-EMELTENREC) thoroughly. Research ethics is important in the Faculty of Humanities and being trained in research ethics is a must.
