Description

You are cordially invited to the Ethics and Integrity Workshop as we try to tackle the difficulties faced by REC administrators in promoting and ensuring ethical research practices in the NWU research environment. REC administrators, REC committees' members, researchers and postgraduate students are invited to join.

Abstract

"Despite their indirect engagement in research, administrators are essential in ensuring the efficient operation of RECs. Research Ethics Committees within the NWU are regulated by internal and external ethical standards and guidelines. To ensure effective functioning and sound ethical decision-making within REC it is vital that REC administrators have the necessary skills, knowledge, and ethical understanding to effectively fulfil their roles and ensure that the highest standards of research ethics are maintained."
