Topic: Botho, Artificial Intelligence, and the Future of Personhood.

About the lecture:

How should we understand personhood in an age of artificial intelligence, cognitive enhancement and digital identity? Drawing on the relational metaphysics of Botho, this lecture distinguishes between being human and being a person - and asks what technology must preserve for personhood to endure.

About the speaker:

Dr Sesiro researches African metaphysics and transhumanism. She became the first African woman from Botswana to receive a PhD in Philosophy and currently teaches Personal Identity and Professional Ethics at the University of Botswana.
