NWU Mahikeng Campus: Future-Proofing Excellence
At the North-West University’s Mahikeng Campus, transformation is more than a vision; it’s a reality in progress.
New lecture halls are under construction, creating additional world-class teaching and learning spaces that will enhance the learning experience for students and staff alike. Alongside this, a brand-new laboratory complex for Geography and Life Sciences is taking shape, providing modern facilities that prepare our future scientists and educators for success.
Our students are already seeing the impact with upgraded residences, a new home for the Community Law Centre, and sustainable initiatives such as a 1,000 kilowatt solar power system that generated over 46,000 kilowatt-hours of clean energy in 2024.
Essential services are also being strengthened with improved water systems, new emergency generators, and energy-efficient installations, ensuring the campus is resilient and ready for the future.
This is more than infrastructure; it’s the foundation for innovation, learning, and excellence.
