In this two-day workshop, Dr Nicole Claasen (certified Senior ATLAS.ti Professional Trainer) provides insights into qualitative data analysis with ATLAS.ti which is the most intuitive and powerful qualitative data analysis software on the market and is available via the NWU IT services.

The first day of the training workshop will equip you to start qualitative data analysis with ATLAS.ti. The training will include an introduction of the basic interface, preparation of documents for analysis, setting up a project, coding and data exploration in ATLAS.ti.

The second day of the training workshop will enable you to utilise ATLAS.ti’s advanced options for qualitative data analysis, such as working with links and networks, querying data, using memos and creating reports.

A basic understanding of qualitative research methodologies would be of advantage for participation.

  • Costs: R800 (staff), R400 (students) per day. Individual days can be booked.
  • Coffee, tea and water will be served. No lunch.
  • Note: Only limited seats are available. Your booking is only confirmed once proof of payment has been received.
  • Please bring your laptop and have ATLAS.ti (Version 8) installed. Please get in touch with NWU/IT for support.
