Prior to joining YES, Bongiwe was the General Manager at Silulo Ulutho Technologies (Silulo), a fast growing technology and education social enterprise which has significant impact in the emerging, township and rural communities across South Africa. Bongiwe has worked in the Investment Management industry for the majority of her career and was a specialist in the Business Development and Client Relations of institutional clients. She holds an MCom Development Finance degree (cum laude) with a focus on Sustainable Responsible Investment from the UCT Graduate School of Business. Bongiwe has been an elected Curator of the Global Shapers Community in the Cape Town Hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum and now a member of the Tshwane Hub. She has recently been voted as the 11th Most Influential Young South African for 2018 by Avance Media where she won the Overall Category of Personal Development and Academia. Through her work she wants to develop the continent by playing a significant role in unlocking value and growth through social impact.
