Dudu Mkhwanazi

 

Dudu Mkhwanazi is the Chief Executive Officer of Project Isizwe, the South African non-profit organization that advocates for free internet access within walking distance of every citizen in low-income communities. Dudu completed her undergraduate degree in Development and Management at the North-West University (Vanderbijlpark Campus), while working full time as a Research
Support Assistant. She also pursued her Honours Degree in Political Science at the North-West University.

In 2013, Dudu embarked on her Master's Degree in Public Policy and Comparative Politics at the Université Montpellier in the South of France; obtaining her
Master’s degree with honours. Upon her return, Dudu served as a political liaison manager for the MMC of Shared Services in the City of Joburg prior to joining Project Isizwe. Project Isizwe has facilitated the deployment of the largest free Public Free Wi-Fi network in Africa in the Tshwane Municipality, Gauteng, South Africa. To date, under Dudu’s leadership Project Isizwe has expanded its foot print and partnered with Glencore Mine, Aware.Org, Yes4Youth to bridge the Digital divide in low and rural communities in South Africa.
