Songezo Zibi

Songezo Zibi is head of communications for Barclays Africa Group, better known in South Africa as Absa. He is responsible for internal and external communication. 

Between 2013 and 2016 he was senior associate editor at the Financial Mail for 1 year and almost two years as editor of Business Day. Prior to that he spent 12 years on corporate communications at Volkswagen SA and Xstrata respectively. He is a published author. His book, Raising the Bar: Hope & Renewal in South Africa was published in 2015. He is currently working on his second book.
