Which expenses does the program cover?

 

  1. Tuition: The Higher Education Institutions will offer 100% of the tuition fee for the duration of the academic program. Applicants must verify the language in which the selected program is taught and meet the language requirements established by the Higher Education Institution.
  2. Health Insurance Allowance: Financial support to cover the scholarship holder’s medical and hospital assistance during the study period in Colombia. This benefit applies exclusively to the scholarship holder and does not extend to family members.
  3. Monthly stipend: ICETEX will support each foreign scholarship recipient with a monthly stipend of two minimum wages.

What are the requirements?

 

  1. Be a foreign citizen
  2. Not have Colombian nationality.
  3. Not be residing, nor have resided the last 6 months prior to applying for the scholarship in Colombian territor or have started studies in Colombia at the time of application to the corresponding call.
  4. Must not have any marital or de facto relationship in Colombia.
  5. Not having been a beneficiary of ICETEX through the Beca Colombia program.
  6. Not be older than 50 years.
  7. Have a cumulative general average of 4.0 out of 5.0 in undergraduate to apply the call. According to the grading scale of each country, the note must be equivalent to a minimum of 4.0 for the Colombian scale.
  8. Have a professional, undergraduate, or graduate degree in any area of knowledge.
  9. Have admission to at least between one and three postgraduate programs found in the Academic Offer Catalog 2026-2 attached to this announcement.
  10. Have good physical and mental health, certified by a doctor.
