The NWU is passionately committed to growth and development in South Africa. Now, in these challenging times, we have increased our efforts to fight unemployment, poverty and inequality through teaching and learning, research and community engagement programmes.
The University remains committed to our proud record of producing thousands of fresh graduates every year: responsible and engaged citizens with valuable knowledge and skills, infused with our core value of ethical leadership, dreaming of taking innovative and effective action as servant leaders in their new endeavours.
The University also continuously contributes to the world through our sustained programme of cutting-edge research. We create valuable new knowledge and insights, innovatively solve burning challenges, and widely disseminate our insights by publishing in leading journals, licensing intellectual property, giving advice to local and national thought leaders, and engaging deeply with communities across South Africa and the continent.
In these fields, the University eagerly collaborates with our many stakeholders, including our donors. Our donors award bursaries that allow our students to grow to their fullest potential, and grants that enable our researchers to benefit the country and the continent. Our donors include individuals, alumni, families, trusts, foundations, businesses and public institutions, but no matter their origin, they all become cherished friends of the University.
We appeal to you to join us in building a better future together. Let us work together to make a speedy impact in the world.
