The NWU Unit for Environmental Sciences and Management cordially invite you to a Virtual Public Lecture for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, presented by Dr Laura Carroll from Umeå University, Sweden. This lecture looks at how data can be used to fight antimicrobial resistance (AMR), which is one of the biggest health problems in the world. Since 2018, the Microbiology Subject Group and researchers from the Unit for Environmental Sciences and Management (UESM) have been celebrating WAAW to raise awareness and encourage action. Antimicrobial resistance affects everyone. By working together, we can protect our health, keep treatments effective, and ensure a safer future.
