The University of Pretoria in collaboration with the North-West University cordially invites you to a seminar series initiated by faculties of theology from multiple South African universities, born out of a shared need to engage meaningfully with artificial intelligence and its growing influence on theological training in higher education.
Theme: "Language Learning and Assessment in Theological Higher Education with AI".
The programme features three expert presentations by Dr Charel du Toit (UP) on learning Greek from the New Testament with AI assistance, Dr Natasha Ferreira (NWU) on using AI to assist in learning ancient Greek through App integrations, and Prof Peter Nagel (SU) on What is it like to be a Logos? Considering the divinity of AI, followed by a rich panel discussion with all three presenters joined by Prof Philip du Toit (NWU).
