The NWU AI Working Group cordially invite you to the 1st NWU AI Lunch & Learn Session, titled "Useful Engagements: Learning with AI Tutorbots at the NWU Faculty of Engineering " featuring Prof Liezl van Dyk as the guest speaker and practical demonstrations for the use of AI Tutorbots:

  • Mathematics Interventions for at risk students (presented by Gustav Potgieter)
  • Thesis Writing (presented by Brandt Klopper)
  • Computer Engineers practicing what they preach (presented by Herman Blackie)

This session will provide valuable insights into the role of AI Tutorbots and how its utilised at the Faculty of Engineering to enhance student engagement and digital learning practices at the NWU. These sessions serve as a platform for NWU staff to engage in professional development and knowledge sharing related to Artificial Intelligence and its applications in teaching, learning, and research.

Outcomes of the Sessions:

  1. Foster a collaborative and continuous learning environment, enhancing teaching practices and student learning experiences.
  2. Equip NWU staff with knowledge and skills to understand AI's role in the NWU environment.
