HART (Measurement Month Campaign)

The NWU Hypertension in Africa Research Team were part of the National Measurement Month Campaign inviting people of all age groups to come and check their blood pressure. The events are commemorate the World Hypertension Day on the 17th of May. Forms will be given to participants to fill in about practices and risks that may lead to hypertension. Tips and guidelines will also be given to help handle, treat and prevent hypertension.

Events will be happening across all NWU campuses, and no registration is required. The NWU community is invited to visit one of the gazebos that will be on campus on the following dates:

• Mahikeng Campus - 11 May (NWU Wellness Day)
• Potchefstroom Campus - 17 May (NWU Wellness Day), 16 May (World Hypertension Day)  as well as 21 May (Potchefstroom Campus Open Day)
• Vanderbijlpark Campus - 27 May (NWU Wellness Day)
