Passionate about game design? Ever dreamed of building a game that could be played by hundreds—maybe even thousands—of players? Then this is your moment. Two countries. One epic jam. Infinite creativity. Join us for a cross-continental, 48-hour game-making adventure from Friday, 23 May at 18:00 (SA) / 17:00 (UK).
Your mission? Design a game worthy of living on — literally. You will be designing a game for the newly acquired Arcademia arcade cabinets found on the NWU Potchefstroom and Vaal campuses. The University of Lincoln has their own two cabinets where your games will be played by students for years to come.
The winning game entries will be installed on real arcade cabinets at NWU and UoL — becoming part of a permanent legacy of play.
This game jam is open to Potchefstroom and Distance students, with remote participation encouraged. No team? No problem—join our Discord on day one to connect with others. Whether you're a beginner or experienced dev, this is your chance to experiment, grow your skills, and create something lasting—perfect for your CV and your creative journey.
