The NWU School of Computer Science and Information Systems in collaboration with the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences cordially invite you to "GeeXpo 2025". GeeXpo is an annual event where learners from surrounding schools, university students, educators, and industry partners come together to showcase and celebrate innovation in technology, mathematics, and statistical science. The event features competitions, exhibitions, and interactive activities that aim to inspire the next generation of STEM students and professionals.

Join us in one (or more!) of the exciting activities below and experience GeeXpo in full flight:

  • Participate and Win: IT PAT Competition
    High school learners in Grades 10 to 12 will present their Practical Assessment Task (PAT) projects, competing for prizes and the NWU Young Eagles' bursaries. This competition is a great opportunity for aspiring young programmers and innovators to showcase their creativity and technical skills while gaining recognition.
  • Challenge Your Skills: Mathematics Olympiad
    Put your problem-solving abilities to the test in a prestigious competition hosted by NWU's School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. The Olympiad features a Junior and Senior Olympiad, along with a fun and engaging Mathematics Games Hour, aimed at promoting a love for mathematics and fostering critical thinking.
  • Explore Innovation: IT Students' Projects
    See our final-year NWU IT students showcase real-world projects developed in collaboration with industry partner project briefs.
  • Research to the Rescue: IT Honours' Research Projects
    Come and see the project demonstrations of our senior students as novice researchers, done from a research perspective as the first step of their research journeys.
  • Experience Technology: Robotics Showcase
    Interact with live robotics demonstrations and explore the world of automation, engineering, and hands-on STEM.
