Justice is sweet as legal eagles gather

While normally formally dressed and observing the strict laws of court, Faculty of Law alumni did justice to the opportunity to relax at an alumni event in Johannesburg.

On 13 June the Faculty of Law’s Prof Robbie Robinson welcomed 29 guests at The View Boutique in Johannesburg where executive dean Prof Stephen de la Harpe told them about developments at the faculty.

The evening’s formalities were closed by Hannes Malan from the NWU’s Technology Transfer and Innovation Support office. He spoke to the alumni about leaving a legacy for future generations in the form of a bequest to the university, and how this will be used to further the projects of the university and its students.

Then it was time to enjoy the delicious food, chat to old professors and make new friends who are also in the legal field, until the early hours.

The NWU’s Hannes Malan addresses the guests, encouraging them to leave a legacy by making a bequest to the university.
