As all alumni know (some from bitter-sweet past experience), students are notorious for their ability to drink beer … lots of it. They are less renowned, however, for making beer.
This is exactly what the final-year students from the School of Chemical and Minerals Engineering did not so long ago, using the facilities of a brewery in Potchefstroom, called Route 96.
These aspiring engineers competed against each another to see who could produce not only the best beer, but also cheese and chocolate.
Learning can be great fun … watch this video to join in the good cheer during the annual beer and cheese day organised by the School of Chemical and Minerals Engineering.
