Executive dean Prof Liezl van Dyk welcomed the 24 alumni, saying that she was excited about reconnecting with each one of them through this occasion. She stressed the importance of having a good relationship with alumni and working together in future endeavours.

Prof Marco le Roux, the director for the Centre for Engineering Education, invited the alumni to become involved with the faculty’s community projects.

Aimed at establishing and nurturing relationship with our alumni from industry, the function was attended by alumni from various organisations and companies. These include Sasol, Siemens, CSIR, Afrisam, and Mass and Heat Transfer Technology.
