Did you know that the NWU’s Convocation is made up of former NWU students (alumni) AND all current members of the university’s permanent staff?

 

In other words, if you are a permanent staff member you can become a member of the Convocation, even if you are not an NWU alumnus.

 

What’s more, as a Convocation member you have the right to be nominated to represent the Convocation on the NWU Council. You can also nominate other Convocation members and vote for them.

 

It is very easy to become a member of the Convocation: just complete a membership application form  and pay the once-off, nominal sum of R50, as set out in the application form.

 

The aim of the Convocation is to promote the welfare of our university by protecting its image, traditions and interests and to serve as a bridge between the members of the Convocation and our university.
