Message from the Alumni Office

Be blessed and be safe

Dear alumni,

In the blink of an eye, we are at the end of 2021. It has been a challenging year full of lessons, but also full of blessings.

Unfortunately, South Africa's new daily confirmed Covid-19 cases are rising rapidly. Please stay safe and adhere to Covid protocols. Sanitise, wash your hands and wear a mask. Do your homework about the vaccine and ensure you make the best scientifically proven decision for yourself and your loved ones. At the NWU, a globally recognised university where we honour and trust research, we urge you to get the answers from experts so that we can curb this pandemic once and for all.

It is summer and there is a welcome December rest ahead for most of us. Enjoy every moment to the fullest.

We have the privilege of still being alive and able to enjoy the company of friends and family. We are still here to love and to make a difference and show others a bit of grace. There is a reason for us being here and may we all continue to find our purpose in life.

With this, I want to wish you all a well-deserved holiday and festive season.

From my home to yours, be blessed. Stay safe and spread joy as far as you go. May we return to be even better in 2022.
