What stood out for me during my trip to NYC when it comes to web and app design is:

 

Using story in design connects people to your product or service in a better way, the narrative structure has been used since the existence of humans, it is the way we learn and remember.

 

Mobile first design

User first design and

Happy first design

 

That means that we should design for mobile before desktop or tablet.

We have to focus on how the user will interact with the design. Is it difficult to use, or is it simple to use. What we design needs to be a pleasure for the user to use, it must feel like second nature.

Columbia University does not make use of study guides, everything the student needs to know about the subject he can find on the LMS. The Lecturer is responsible for placing the content on the LMS.

 

Wow, what an awesome and insightful trip, I have learned so much.
