How NWU graduates are employed

The NWU’s Career Centre has released the findings of its annual survey on employment trends among NWU graduates.

The survey explores trends in continued study or employment and the extent to which employment correlates with qualifications. It also covers aspects such as the primary work sector, monthly remuneration and job search approaches.

Bernice Smit, project manager at the NWU’s Career Centre, says the importance of this survey is that it provides relevant information about specific fields of employment to students and staff. She says it is a starting point for engaging students, academics and employers.

“It assists us to determine specific qualifications in which students are experiencing challenges, and what the current job market situation is. It is also a handy tool to articulate information from employers into the teaching-learning environment to ensure that students are more employable.”

These are the findings of the survey.
