Be careful when consuming ginger

NWU researchers have warned of toxicity in poorly stored ginger, a popular spice and medicinal remedy. A recent study by Dr Oluwadara Omotayo, Prof Mulunda Mwanza and Prof Olubukola Babalola sheds light on mycotoxin contamination in ginger, and highlights the precautions that need to be taken when consuming this plant.
