This serves to inform the university community that the NWU and Prof Refilwe Phaswana-Mafuya, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation, have mutually agreed to the termination of their employment relationship. The university wishes Prof Phaswana-Mafuya well in her future endeavors.

In line with the Statute, Council will now commence with a process to fill the vacancy as soon as possible.
