“Travelling through new territory” is how vice-chancellor Prof Dan Kgwadi describes the online teaching and learning journey the NWU has embarked upon.
After testing the waters during an orientation period, the NWU set sail for this new destination on 4 May, with staff and students experiencing the voyage in different ways, as you can see in the Vox pop article.
After accepting an invitation to attend some of the online classes, Prof Dan says he is convinced that lecturers and students are all doing their utmost to benefit from online teaching and learning, and that it is clear the programme will yield a good return on investment.
Saving the academic year
In this video, Prof Dan Kgwadi talks about saving the academic year through an online learning programme and about returning to campus according to a reintegration plan for staff and students.
