We all have different opinions about authentic leadership. Something most will agree upon, however, is that true leaders have integrity. They also have the ability to translate vision into reality.
These are some of the truths about leadership that were mentioned at the NWU’s recent annual Leadership Summit. This was the fourth summit and took place at the Birchwood Hotel in Johannesburg.
An impressive line-up of keynote speakers shared their insights on leadership and the experiences they have gained within the leadership arena. In the end, they all agreed that everything – be it within the private, public or civil society spheres – stands and falls on leadership.
They also talked about ways to empower leaders. These include access to technology, information and learnership opportunities.
