While walking around our campuses, a delightful medley of languages will reach your ears. Some people will greet you with a friendly dumela, while others will say good day or goeiedag.

This is us – people whose words form a potpourri of different languages. It is no wonder then that our university has a multilingual approach when it comes to languages used at the NWU.

This video, Tomorrow is my NWU, reflects the inclusive spirit of our multilingual language policy and plan that is currently being revised. Click on the video to meet Rachel, who is living our multilingual reality. She takes photos, she texts, she chats. She talks about her future, her hopes and dreams while she interacts with her friends.

She is us. Enjoy the language potpourri with her.
