Agri+ Indaba at Nampo Alfa

We are proud to have hosted another 5x panel discussions at this year's Nampo Alfa, which took place from 29 September to 1 October 2022 at Nampo Park. Guests were invited to topical and insightful panel discussions with distinguished South African business and thought leaders.

Day 1, session 1

The first discussion entailed practical advice about international seasonal and contract work opportunities in agriculture.

Day 1, session 2

The second panel discussion at Nampo Alfa saw the NWU Business School inviting business and thought leaders to discuss the topic of diversification of farming (and agribusiness) in Africa.

Day 2, session 1

The third topic of discussion placed focus on a national livestock identification system for South Africa – is it improving farm management or adding costly red tape?

Day 2, session 2

During the second day of Nampo Alfa, a huge focus was placed on the topic of foot and mouth disease, and the question was asked if it is time to reconsider the approach.

Day 3, session 1

On the third and final day of the Agri+ Indaba with the NWU Business School and Nampo Alfa, a focus was placed on the licensing of firearms, and the question posed to our distinguished panel members was "where are we as a country heading in relation to gun control?”

ThinkTanks

Think Tank

We have created something that caters for academics, political and business leaders, researchers and postgraduate students, where they could have the opportunity to join a virtual, online table and discuss the most important economic issues in South Africa. We call it our THINK TANK webinars. Here, topical issues affecting business and society are debated and analysed by a panel of experts from industry and academia, where-after attendees are allowed to engage with the panel members in a Q and A session.

The topics of these Think Tanks include corruption, recessions, the state of local government and funding to name a few.

Pitso

Pitso

A Pitso refers to a calling - when a tribal leader gathers or calls on stakeholders and experts to mediate, deliberate and decide on a matter. Our Pitso series is a ‘to the point’, gathering of expert opinions, and leaders on burning issues affecting the business community. This is done via a virtual video platform.
