The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Information Technology is one of the two faculties on the Vaal Triangle Campus that offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to prepare students for the fast-growing world of financial services industries, information technology, business mathematics, informatics, accounting, chartered accountants, economics, business management, marketing and sports sciences. These programmes, which address various domains of academic enquiry, are geared to provide solutions to real life situations within a vibrant economy. The programmes offered in the faculty are spread among three schools, each with a distinctive focus: 

School of Economic Sciences

School of Accounting Sciences

School of Information Technology

The programmes are designed with due cognizance of national relevance and international competitiveness within the globally evolving disciplines. Our programmes are constantly reviewed through a process of rigorous internal and external quality assurance in order to provide relevant outcomes in the various modules offered. The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Information Technology has a distinctive inter- and multidisciplinary focus and is committed to continuously strengthening its position to become a pre-eminent faculty in the fields of Economic Sciences and Information Technology through relevant academic programmes and research excellence, with the concomitant implementation of expertise.
