The School of Accounting Sciences offers, among others, short courses on an ad hoc basis. Furthermore, the School has been contracted by the Association for Accounting Technicians to assist in the training of municipal officials.

Contact research, consultation activities and third stream income activities

The School of Economics has been contracted since 2006 by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to identify, by means of a statistical decision-making model (DSM – Decision Support Model), realistic export opportunities, thus product-country combinations that have good potential for export, for South Africa. The results of the research form part of South Africa’s national export strategy. The School of Economics also provides training for several banks in Africa, the Post Office and agricultural organisations.
