Health Centre

The Health Centre recognizes the needs of its clients, namely the students. It is committed to provide a high quality and cost effective health care service and to foster and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the campus community.

Objectives

To promote health through encouragement of healthy behavior and life-style.
To assist with the curative process in already existing aliments.
To rehabilitate those clients recovering from illness.
To provide quality care that is individually oriented and holistic.
To co-operate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in caring for students and staff

Services rendered

Assessment and management of minor ailments;
Reproductive health services;
Referral to other health facilities;
Emergency services;
Ante-natal and post-natal services;
Information on health related matters;
Counseling services;

Fees and Operating Hours
A minimum fee of R10-00 (Ten Rand) is charged per consultation for minor ailments i.e. examination and treatment.
Operating hours are on week days between 08:00 – 13:00 and 14:00 – 16:00. Protection Services will transport students to Public Health institutions after hours.
