Students Jog for Justice
Law and social justice students and lecturers at North West University’s Mafikeng campus held a Jog for Justice in Mafikeng when they jogged along 4km track outside campus, to raise awareness of the need for social justice.
The jog on Monday was organised by Students of Law and Social Justice, a national student organisation aimed at furthering social justice.
The organisation demands that people have equal rights and opportunities despite their social backgrounds, ensuring dignity and non-sexism under the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.
The first three men and women each won a bottle of wine.
At the end of the event, participants made a collage of handprints to show support for the nationwide pursuit of social justice.
