Quality Assurance
Learning Programme evaluations
The faculty, in consultation with the campus quality coordinator, initiates the internal programme review of two or three identified programmes or subjects-in-programmes. Regular meetings and/or workshops are convened/organised by the faculty quality assurance coordinator to familiarise affected lecturers with documentation that is required for the internal review process. The latter is followed by preparations for an external evaluation conducted by external evaluators, staff from the institutional quality office and the campus vice-rector quality assurance and planning. The faculty coordinator reports to the Dean on all matters pertaining to quality in the faculty.
Teaching and learning
The faculty, and sometimes departments within the faculty, involve the campus Academic Development Centre (ADC) in mounting workshops on teaching strategies, implementation of e-fundi to enhance teaching and learning processes, study guide development, assessment procedures, programme and module development.
Faculty Academic Committee
This structure comprises departmental chairs/programme coordinators and is concerned to facilitate curriculum design and quality assurance matters of the faculty.
