The ATKV Skryfskool offers a variety of other writing courses for anyone who wants to write or improve their creative writing.

Autumn School for writers
Students have an option between four courses at the Autumn Writing School in 2011. The options include the following: prose, poetry, children's literature and writing rubrics. These sections run concurrently during the Autumn School. For five days authors, publishers, group leaders and course presenters will intensively work with you on your written work. At the end of the Autumn School an attendance certificate will be awarded.

COURSES: How do I write a column, prose, poetry, children's literature
COST: R3 000.00 per person sharing (2 persons per room). Luxurious accommodation in the new Sports Village Puk, Potchefstroom for 4 nights, breakfast included.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Only your own writing, as outlined below.
The Autumn School starts on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 09:30 (you can already register at 08:30) at the Sports Village Puk, Potchefstroom. The Autumn School will end on Friday at 12:00.
The four different divisions of the Autumn School is offered in concurrent sessions, although the main readings of authors or publishers for all attendees simultaneously presented.
For the Autumn School to be admitted, it is a piece of writing called you together with your application before the closing date, March 4, 2011, must send in a deposit of R500, 00 (non refundable). This piece of writing you through the course of the week in connection with your small group discussion.
The Autumn School not only offers you the opportunity to deal with the art of writing, writers, publishers and magazine people get up, but you also meet others who share your intense interest and write with the same problems as you struggle. It does not matter what level your writing is - if you have never published it, and if you've already published - the Writing School's people will help you hone your writing.
The divisions of the Fall school and everyone's writing looks like this:
PROSE
What is a short story or a novel Attention is given to the method of verhaallyn, creating characters and space and the time of the story. To register for this section in writing, you a short story, not exceeding 10 pages, pre-form.
POETRY
Where can I find a poem from How does metaphor, sound, motion and shape when I write a poem Should it rhyme, which is a modern poem, actually For this section you a poem to send your application together.
CHILDREN'S LITERATURE
For children or youth to write is the same as for adults to register - it's just harder! The dos and don'ts of children's literature and the particular demands of treatment. In order for this section to write you a child or youth story, not exceeding 10 pages, with your entry form.
COURSE IN RUBRICS
A Category is the kind of writing in almost any newspaper or magazine used, but few of us are really trained in a column to write.
The main focus of the course is becoming a column for a magazine or newspaper to write that week after week will keep the reader interested.
There are very specific demands on the columnist suggested, because it is the kind of word art that also within the constraints of length, saktye weekly publication and the reader as a target to be written.
This section of the Autumn School will be offered in collaboration with experienced columnists.
For the diploma course, you need a column of 1000 words with your entry form before the closing form.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is available in deluxe double rooms at the PUK Sports Village, Potchefstroom.
ENTRY

City Leaf Course
This practical course is offered to churches or individuals that this important communication tool in the church would improve. The course includes the use of language, content and layout of a successful community site in. The presenters included staff from the ATKV Writing School, communication experts and pastors.
Skolierekursusse
The Writing School has been offering the past ten year courses in writing short stories for young writers in various places in Southern Africa. Knowing the annual weekend courses in George, Oudtshoorn and Upington. These courses for young writers is presented with financial support from the PUK kanselierstrust in cooperation with high schools. National course in poetry at Potchefstroom offered. This one day course is specifically for high school students who would like to write poems.
Events Courses
The Writing School offers courses by invitation in any place in Southern Africa. This course's length by the nature of the workshop and determining the cost of such an event course through the body making the invitation pays. In most cases, getting the institution offering the course to request a self-sponsor for the particular course. You are welcome to contact us if you have such a course type to offer.

Herfsskool vir skrywers
Herfsskoolgangers vanjaar (2011) dus uit vier afdelings tydens die Herfsskool kies: prosa, posie, kinderliteratuur en skryf van rubrieke. Hierdie afdelings loop gelyktydig tydens die Herfsskool. Vir vyf dae word daar intensief aan jou eie skryfwerk geskaaf deur skrywers, uitgewers, groepleiers en werkswinkelaanbieders. Aan die einde van die Herfsskool word ʼn bywoning-sertifikaat toegeken.

Die Herfsskool begin op Maandag, 21 Maart 2011 om 09:30 (jy kan reeds van 08:30 af registreer) by die Puk Sports Village, Potchefstroom. Die Herfsskool sal Vrydag om 12:00 afsluit.
Die vier verskillende afdelings van die Herfsskool word in parallelle sessies aangebied, hoewel die hooflesings van skrywers of uitgewers vir al die kursusgangers gelyktydig aangebied word.
Om tot die Herfsskool toegelaat te word, word daar ʼn skryfstuk gevra wat jy saam met jou inskrywing voor die sluitingsdatum, 4 Maart 2011, moet instuur met ʼn deposito van R500,00 (nie terugbetaalbaar nie). Hierdie skryfstuk van jou word deur die loop van die week in kleingroepverband met jou bespreek.
Die Herfsskool bied jou nie net die geleentheid om met die skryfkuns, skrywers, uitgewers en tydskrifmense kennis te maak nie, maar jy ontmoet ook ander mense wat jou intense belangstelling deel en wat met dieselfde skryfprobleme as jy worstel. Dit maak nie saak op watter vlak jou skryfwerk is nie – of jy nog nooit gepubliseer het nie, en of jy alreeds gepubliseer het – die Skryfskool se mense sal jou skryfwerk help slyp.

PROSA
Hoe lyk ʼn kortverhaal of ʼn roman Daar word aandag geskenk aan die uitwerk van die verhaallyn, die skep van karakters en ruimte en die tyd van die storie. Om vir hierdie afdeling in te skryf, moet jy ʼn kortverhaal, van nie meer as 10 bladsye nie, vooraf instuur.
POSIE
Waar kry ek ʼn gedig vandaan Hoe werk metafore, klank, beweging en vorm wanneer ek ʼn gedig skryf Moet dit rym, en wat is ʼn moderne gedig nou eintlikVir hierdie afdeling moet jy een gedig met jou inskrywing saamstuur.
KINDERLITERATUUR
Om vir kinders of vir die jeug te skryf, is dieselfde as om vir grootmense te skryf – dit is net moeiliker! Die moets en moenies van kinderliteratuur en die besondere eise daarvan word behandel. Om vir hierdie afdeling in te skryf moet jy ʼn kinder- of jeugverhaal, van nie meer as 10 bladsye nie, saam met jou inskrywingsvorm instuur.
KURSUS IN RUBRIEKE
ʼn Rubriek is die soort skryfstuk wat in byna elke koerant of tydskrif gebruik word, maar min van ons is regtig opgelei om ʼn rubriek te skryf.
Die hooffokus van die kursus is hoe om ʼn rubriek vir ʼn tydskrif of koerant te skryf wat week na week die leser sal bly interesseer.
Daar is baie spesifieke eise wat aan die rubriekskrywer gestel word, want dit is die soort woordkuns wat ook nog binne die beperkinge van lengte, saktye, weeklikse verskyning en die leser as teiken geskryf moet word.
Hierdie afdeling van die Herfsskool sal aangebied word in samewerking met ervare rubriekskrywers.
Om tot die kursus toegelaat te word, moet jy ʼn rubriek van 1 000 woorde saam met jou inskrywingsvorm voor die sluitingsdatum instuur.
AKKOMMODASIE
Akkommodasie is beskikbaar in luukse, dubbelkamers by die PUK Sports Village, Potchefstroom.
INSKRYWING
Vul net die inskrywingsvorm in en stuur dit saam met ʼn deposito van R500,00 (nie terugbetaalbaar nie) en jou skryfstuk vir die betrokke afdeling sodat jou inskrywing ons nie later as 4 Maart 2011 bereik nie. Navrae oor die Herfsskool kan by die Skryfskool gedoen word (Tel: 018 299 1783).

Gemeentebladkursus
Hierdie praktiese kursus word aangebied vir gemeentes of individue wat hierdie uiters belangrike kommunikasiemiddel in die plaaslike gemeente wil verbeter. Die kursus sluit die taalgebruik, inhoud en uitleg van 'n suksesvolle gemeenteblad, in. Die aanbieders sluit personeel van die ATKV-Skryfskool, kommunikasiekundiges en predikante in.
Skolierekursusse
Die Skryfskool bied reeds die afgelope tien jaar ook kursusse in die skryf van kortverhale vir jong skrywers op verskillende plekke in Suider-Afrika aan. Die bekendste hiervan is die jaarlikse naweekkursusse op George, Oudtshoorn en Upington. Hierdie kursusse vir jong skrywers word aangebied met die finansile steun van die PUK-kanselierstrust en in samewerking met horskole. Nasionale kursus vir posie word op Potchefstroom aangebied. Hierdie eendagkursus is spesifiek vir horskoolleerders wat graag gedigte wil skryf.
Geleentheidskursusse
Die Skryfskool bied op uitnodiging kursusse op enige plek in Suider-Afrika aan. Hierdie kursusse se duur word deur die aard van die werkswinkel bepaal, en die koste van so n geleentheidskursus word deur die instansie wat die uitnodiging rig, betaal. In die meeste gevalle kry die instansie wat die kursus aanvra, self n borg vir die besondere kursus. Jy is welkom om met ons te skakel indien u so n soort kursus wil aanbied.
