A hearty welcome to the webpage of the School of Physiology, Nutrition and Consumer Sciences. The school is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and has existed since 1998. Training and research in Physiology, Occupational Hygiene (postgraduate), Dietetics and Nutrition (both professional programmes), Nutrition as general course, as well as in Consumer Sciences are presented by the school. As far as research is concerned, the school is actively involved in the Centre of Excellence for Nutrition, the Hypertension in Africa Research Team (HART) and the Africa Unit for Transdisciplinary Health Research (AUTHeR), for which national and international recognition has already been received.
