Come rain or shine – or a pandemic, for that matter – the class of 2020 did graduate this year; all 14 325 of them.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only the first few of the March graduation ceremonies were held on our campuses – the rest were virtual ceremonies held on 29 May, 23 July and 23 October. Another virtual ceremony is scheduled for 3 December.

The virtual ceremonies were pre-recorded so that the graduates could watch them in the company of their loved ones. This was done so that our graduates could experience something of that moment on the stage that they would have shared with family and friends.

The degrees and diplomas were awarded or conferred in absentia, and the certificates were sent by courier, as close as possible to the date of the awarding or conferral as captured on the graduates’ official student records.
